I thought some of you may be interested in how I created these pan shots.
Thought some of you might be interested in how I did these Pans. Well I Took vertical shots starting from the left and panned over and took another shot with the shots overlapping slightly. I have a stitching program I use called PTgui. This program does a wonderful job of stitching, and smoothing. These shots contain 10 or more stitched scenes. I did not use a tripod, but was very careful to keep my camera horizontal with the horizon. I have tried other stitching programs, but I found PTgui to be the best for me. Hope you like them.
I am new to this group. Please feel free to view and comment on my photos. Thanks.
I thought I might share with you how I did my Panoramas. You might think these scenes are single images. But, in fact these are composed of many vertical overlapping shots. and stitched together with a program called PTgui. I used my Canon 5D digital camera and very carefully hand held it horizontal while I took the overlapping shots. Hope you like them.
Hi, I thought I would share a few of my experimental photos for you to comment on. I am a nut on doing still life setups and experimenting with different lighting. I own Hasselblads, a Mamiya RB-76, a Sinar 4x5 and some Canon Digitals. I first got interested in photography about 15 years ago. I was browsing a camera store one day and happened to see a still life photo book by a well known photographer. As I was looking through the pages I was hooked, and I decided then and there I was going to buy a camera and start experimenting. Well as It went I wound up buying a Sinar 4x5 large format camera and some lenses. Needless to say when I got out of that store my credit card had suffered a major hit. I did make friends in the store however, and they invited me back anytime (to spend more money) of course.
Well here I am 15 years later still playing around with my cameras. I hope you like these photos, even if you don;t, please feel free to comment on them. You will not hurt my feelings. PS At the checkout counter when I paid for my items, I commented "Geez this stuff is expensive" My new store friend then asked me this question. Do you want to know how to make $1,000,000 in photography? Yes I said how. His answer: Start out with $2,000,000 Well he was right. I have never got back what I spent on this stuff. But it sure is educational. You can see my website www.glgphoto.com if you want to see more.
